Brent, I think you miss the greater point in Gingrich's poor kids working statement. Do you honestly believe he wants to return to sweatshops? Be serious, now. Take of your talking points hat, put on that thinking cap and answer honestly. Do you REALLY think he advocates putting kids in danger and treating them like slaves? Get real. He was trying to say that a work ethic, engendered at a young age, goes a long way toward being a winner in life. A couple of years ago I took a steer to an Amish guy to be butchered. Who was his [***]istant? A 3 year old. Dad gave the little guy a list of things to go get, here he came in a couple of minutes with a bucket of water, a pair of gloves, a hacksaw and an incredibly sharp knife. Put them down where they needed to be and stood off to the side. Does Gingrinch have a storied past? Sure enough! But, as you say, he has tons of ideas worth debating.
