Walk to Stanley Peak ---- Naturalist Dan Cannon leads a moderately paced hike through the southwest section of Daley Ranch to Stanley Peak. Participants will learn about Daley's flora and fauna, the reserve's recent and ancient history, and some geology. The hike will have six five-minute rest stops or more as needed. Bring sunscreen, a sun hat, proper hiking boots or treaded footwear and water. Meet at 9 a.m. at the bus kiosk in the Daley Ranch parking lot at the top of La Honda Drive, Escondido; 760-839-4680.

Ramona Grasslands hike ---- Learn about the rare and sensitive plant and animal species during a guided nature hike at the Ramona Grasslands Preserve. Wildlife Research Institute Research Director Jeff Lincer will talk about the area's significance to resident and migratory raptors. This 4-mile round-trip hike is easy and suitable for all ages.
