Head to downtown Southern Pines for First Eve celebration: A free family event in downtown Southern Pines. Streets will be blocked off from 6 to 8:30 p.m. along Broad Street for various activities and entertainment. A pinecone drop will be at 8:30 p.m. For more information, call 693-2508.
Party in the Park: 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Festival Park. Includes live performances and live feed from Times Square. A kids area will include an early countdown at 8:45 p.m. Admission is free before 9 p.m. and $5 afterwards.
