After the heavy rain the team at Oliva Nova did a fabulous job in actually getting the course open and playable so hats off to them. We had a very good field of 66 golfers and, once again, a real mix of nationalities, which absolutely makes the Texas Scramble and adds to the enjoyment and success of the day.
Considering the conditions, the scores were very good. First place Team DGB: nett 61.3, David Gardner- Brown, Jan Gardner-Brown, Andy Bailey and Sue Bailey. Second a well-known and regular foursome with nett 63.0, Team Ivory: James, Ivory, Mark Ivory, Petery Dymyd and Rafe Parker.
Third and fourth places went to our Spanish friends with a nett 63.4, Team Palaganas: Isabel Gallego, Ray Palaganas, Pedro Valdivia and Manolo Rodriguez and with a nett 63.5 Team Perez: Salvador Parra, Mari Carmen Perez, Vicenta Collado, Fernando Mas. Team Cooper with a nett score of 63.6 just missed out on the prizes. Asle-Jorgen Schultz and David Salgo won the Nearest the Pin prizes on the 3rd and 16th holes respectively.
