While you should practice caution when driving no matter the season, it's important to take extra precautions this time of year to prepare yourself and your vehicle for nighttime driving.With shorter days and inclement weather upon us, Firestone Complete Auto Care would like to provide the following tips:

Develop a habit to make sure your tires are properly inflated, rotated and in good condition. Make sure your lights and mirrors are clean and properly positioned. Incorrectly aimed headlights can temporarily blind other drivers and reduce your ability to see the road. Properly aligned mirrors also reduce blind spots. When in doubt, turn on your headlights. Even if they don't help you see better, they'll make it easier for other drivers to see you. Use high beams sparingly. Live in an area with high fog? It's not a good idea to use your high beams.

I don't mind much that the visors in the RAV super chincey, but their functionality has much to be desired. In my morning work commutes in the winter, with the sun low on the horizon, I have to wear a cap or visor to block the sun. The visors don't drop down enough, and don't extend wide enough to close the gap between the rear view mirror and the visor. I was thinking about putting a strip of shade material on the top of the windshield, but I was also thinking about finding other visors that might fit better. Does anyone know of other, perhaps Toyota, visors that would fit and provide better sunlight blocking protection? Picture my surprise when I went looking for a DVD for my automobile. We had been to take our grandkids for an extended road trip and I thought it would help it to a DVD player. The difficulty is "monitor". I saw all these great priced monitors and believed that is actual excellent to obtain the monitor and the DVD for that cost. Then I found that they really did mean just the monitor. Not the DVD inside a monitor, but a monitor.If you want a monitor with Single Din DVD you have to look for a monitor that includes the DVD. Otherwise all you get is really a "monitor". So here is some quick information on monitors and what to look for.
